There is so much to see and do at the Manitoba Children's Museum! Many times throughout the year the museum hosts exciting travelling exhibits.
Much More Munsch!
February 2 - September 1, 2008
Let your imagination run wild in a crazy creative place! Mix and match words, phrases, scenes and sounds and discover the art of storytelling. Perform for your friends and family. Stomp your way to Mortimer's room. Get Thomas into his snowsuit. Create your own cast of characters. Be one of the first to read and hear unpublished stories. It's fiction! It's fun! It's fantastic! This is a fully bilingual exhibit!

This travelling exhibit from London Regional Children's
Museum and Manitoba
Children's Museum is generously supported by Canadian Heritage, Friesens,
RBC Foundation, Premiere Van Lines
and The Winnipeg Foundation.
AirWorks
AirWorks is MCM's newest permanent
exhibit in the Live Wire Gallery. Send balls and scarves through 100 feet of
tubing and watch where they'll come out! Discover
whether you can make the objects follow different
paths with the diverter boxes. See which objects move
faster than others and how many can move at
once. AirWorks is an action-filled science and
sensory exhibit that encourages open-ended
experimentation with a variety of objects. Form your
own theories and test them out!

Dream Gallery
MCM's newest gallery displaying children's artwork on the
Mezzanine. Open for viewing Monday-Friday.
Celebrating the Grade One artists from Constable
Edward Finney School, come view pictures of animals made from scraps
of material, buttons, beads, sponges, and much more. You will be amazed at
how these artists have used everyday materials in their creations.

A big thank you to all of the artists for their hard work!
From
Crystals to Gems
July 31 - October 19, 2008
From Crystals to Gems explores the world of crystals: how they grow and their
variety in form and colour. This travelling exhibition of the Canadian Museum
of Nature introduces visitors to gemstones: their special attributes of beauty,
rarity and durability and how they are cut and polished. Visitors also get
a glimpse of some Canadian gemstones and discover where the minerals are found
in Canada.
Eaton’s
Santa’s Village
November 15, 2008 - January 10, 2009
The Manitoba Children’s Museum is privileged to be the permanent home of the original Eaton’s Santa’s Village. The fifteen fairytale vignettes once served as the holiday display at the former downtown Winnipeg Eaton’s store.
